## What YIMS does

YIMS is a web application for yard companies that take custody of repossessed or parked vehicles. Each company and yard stays isolated. Staff record vehicle IN, attach five custody photographs, send the financer inventory report only to the authorised Repo Agency and Repo Agent emails, then mark a controlled OUT with a Release Slip. A returned vehicle reopens the same Yard Inventory record with a mandatory reason. A second inventory card is never created.

## Core workflow

1. IN — company, yard, financer, vehicle, repo agency, repo agent, and a published template.
2. Send Report — only after required fields, checklists, five photos, and valid emails. Saving IN never emails anyone.
3. OUT — one canonical Out Report, Release Slip, and audit evidence in one step.
4. Return / refusal — same record, mandatory reason, then OUT again as needed.

## Isolation and access

- Super Admin uses /admin. Company teams use /panel.
- Company admins stay inside their company. Yard staff stay on assigned yards unless they hold an explicit company-wide permission.
- Suspended or expired subscriptions can still read history. They cannot create Yard Inventory, send reports, or mark OUT.
